PRESS RELEASE 20TH APRIL 1999

Claims have been made by Christians in Croydon that amalgam fillings have turned to gold during church services. Several members of Folly's End Church in Surrey Street have claimed to have had fillings and other dental work turned into gold miraculously. Church leaders are awaiting dental verification before confirming that this is a miracle.

Senior Pastor David Markee said: 'Our God is big enough to do anything He wants but I have still been taken by surprise at this latest phenomenon. I have asked my congregation to help me by getting dental verification where possible.'
