'Before Steve prayed for the jaw problems he said check the teeth of your neighbour. The man next to me said you have a gold coloured filling. I said I can't have... we haven't prayed yet. But God had already begun giving out gold fillings so we prayed and in several parts of the room, as we prayed, God began to work. People from all parts of the room began to discover fillings had turned gold in colour. I'm astounded.' – Margaret

'Ann telephoned me and told me that people were receiving gold filings at Friday night's meeting. Ann had been praying for me as I was unable to be at the meeting and I had broken a tooth on Tuesday of the week. I was joking with my housegroup on Tuesday about receiving a gold filling so that I would not have to go to the dentist on Friday. Anne told me to look in the mirror. I did but I only looked at my broken tooth that had been filled by the dentist the day before and it was still white. As I was driving to pick up Ann to go to the Normandy, I looked in my mouth when I stopped at traffic lights and saw two of my teeth on the other side glinting. I thought that it was the sunshine through the windows. On arriving at Ann's she confirmed that my tooth was gold and the other one next to it was silver. I was Godsmacked. Praise the Lord.' – Emily

'On 30th March I had two back molar crowns fitted and there on one of them that night was a small round piece of bright silver/white gold glistening away. I was Godsmacked. I am a dentist in Southport. If God wants to restore teeth, I would expect him to use tooth not artificial filling. I do remember one such case from my student days in Liverpool, but as we were inexperienced, it was considered a student mistake.

Tonight (May 12th) at our family meal my sister reported a case of gold dust which happened at her church last Sunday. She and her engineer husband go to Elim Springs International Church. They meet in St Peter's Church, Vere Street, London.

A lady was praying throughout the service. After the service somebody noticed gold on her neck. The lady was sweating and the more she sweated the more the gold appeared. My brother-in-law touched the gold but could not feel it although he could see it. Apparently, the lady had been praying to have her teeth fixed.

My brother-in-law is a down-to-earth, skeptical type, but he could not explain what he was seeing.

As a seasoned member of the wonders of the charismatic movement, I remember a talk some years back at Greenbelt by Graham Cray. It was in the heyday of the Wimber stuff and Graham reported a number of stories of gold fillings, etc., happening in Soweto during healing meetings. I guess the tape of the meeting still exists somewhere in the Greenbelt archives.

Graham's main comment on this was that he could'nt figure out why God should do that when there was so much oppression. There didn't seem to be any doubt on the veracity of what was reported. Beats me!

Beware spiritual leaders, and the people who supernaturally get these gold fillings (although some claim it by trickery) in their mouths pick up messages from satan like a radio transmitter they will not be able to discern the true voice of the Holy Spirit ever again! They have sold their soul for a mouthful of gold if they do not repent and get it removed! Study and show thyself approved. Where is this in the Holy Scriptures I have given you?

The alleged gold filling miracle is nothing new. It was reported by Peter Wagner (missiologist) in one of his books. It was supposed to have happened many years ago in South America.

The 'miracle' became so common that only those who had more than a few teeth filled were allowed to testify. It was also said that some acquired fillings with the imprint of a cross on them.

Dr Wagner publishes this stuff without a whole lot of critical investigation and I suspect that his stories may have been influential in this current phenomenon. His 'spiritual warfare' writings contain a great deal of miracle stories, some of which have been shown to be spurious.

Examples: the revival in the Philipines following an exorcism; the Brazil/Uruguay border incident in which the activities of 'territorial spirits' were supposedly evident.

At the Sunday morning meeting of Kings Church, Penzance, on April 18th, there was a testimony from someone whose fillings were turned to gold at a meeting in Bath.

There was prayer for God to do the same thing with us, and about twenty of the seventy or so present claimed some change in their teeth, including several gold teeth. Most of these have yet to be verified by dentists, but at least one has been.

Just one small point, this has been going on for a number of years and was/is still widespread in Argentina. I'm sorry if people seem insulted that God can do what he wants. In some cases fillings have turned gold and then the whole tooth has been totally restored.
